The Colca Canyon Trek and Oasis

Just outside of Arequipa exists the worlds deepest canyon. This however is not it. This is the worlds second deepest canyon just around the corner from Arequipa as well. This beautiful trek was called Colca Canyon.






This was the first nights accommodation. Pleasant little cottages perched just above the river flowing through the gorging canyon.



My amazing group! Mackenzie Sarah and Leah. All who ended up being my amazing thanksgiving partners in crime!



At last on the second day we forged our way to this sore of a place. Can't believe they actually made us stay here.



The trek the following morning back out of the canyon. Absolutely gorgeous being able to look back on the inca terraces on the opposing side of the canyon.




Leah doin her thing in front of our amazing Thanksgiving day feast that we prepared. Let's see, we have: Garlic mashed potatoes, Caramelized apples, sweet sweet potatoes, green beans, deviled eggs, chicken (couldn't find turkey) along with homemade gravy and wine to compliment the meal. It was so amazing cooking with this group! And I was so thankful to be spending this day with them!
